This report describes a project conducted to design, develop, and disseminate modular instructional materials needed for infusing safety and health instruction into pre-employment vocational training curricula. Training needs were identified and specific content areas determined. Content areas were agriculture and agribusiness education, allied health education, business and office education, marketing and distributive education, technical education, trade and industrial education, and vocational home economics education. Existing materials were located and evaluated for suitability for this program. Topics, content, objectives, and outlines for materials needed were determined. Fifty instructional modules were developed, evaluated, and revised. Seven instructor resource guides were prepared to provide assistance in selection and implementation of training in specific safety and health areas. Limited visibility and disseminiation activities, including six regional workshops, were conducted to create an awareness of the developed instructional materials and networks to assist in stimulating an interest in the use of the materials in vocational training.
