Individual sections briefly address schools for the deaf, partially hearing, speech disordered, blind, partially sighted, physically handicapped, convalescent, delicate, epileptic, educationally subnormal, seriously maladjusted, learning and behavior disordered, multiply handicapped, and migrant. The types of services provided by special education are mentioned, the system of financing special education is outlined, and views on the future of special education are presented. Also dealt with are referral and admission procedures, transitional stages between special schools and ordinary schools, parent responsibility, and experiments in education.
