Ten tables present equivalent scores between the 1978 Metropolitan Achievement Tests and the 1973 Stanford Achievement Test in terms of grade equivalent (GE) scores. These data were derived empirically by administering the two tests to two groups of students matched in terms of Otis-Lennon Mental Ability Test scores. Equivalent GEs were determined separately for each battery level of Metropolitan and Stanford. Stanford TASK conversions (grade 10) are given in terms of scaled scores, since GEs are not provided for the TASK series. Steps are listed to translate a GE from the 1973 Stanford series into a comparable GE on the 1978 Metropolitan. The included grade-based tables (kindergarten-grade 10) are recommended for making specific score translations. In addition, one table summarizes the data and provides a quick overview of the grade-equivalent relationship between the two test series. (RL)
