Included in this newsletter are abstracts of recent articles and books on television violence and related topics. Literature searched includes psychiatry, psychology, and communications periodicals as well as a wide range of the social science literature. Also abstracted are items from both the industrial and the lay press, and the actions of various groups concerned with television violence are reported on. The television programs to be broadcast during the 1980 fall season are also listed, along with an estimated rating of their level of violence. Two letters written by Thomas Radecki, M.D., chairman of the National Coalition on Television Violence, and a list of the board of directors of the coalition are included. (Author/LLS)
