A proposed career education program for learning disabled adolescents in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District (New York) is described. The program is to include the following curriculum areas: motivation for work, school and the working world, self awareness, occupational knowledge, choosing a field, job selection, securing a job, job expectations, life skills, and college. Other components will include work experience and job placement, research and communication (both inhouse and external dissemination), and parent involvement. (DB)
