This report describes child care related programs which have received major grants from the Ford Foundation since 1969. Specific information and referral services such as the Children's Council of San Francisco Childcare Switchboard, the Cambridge/Somerville Child Care Resource Center in Massachusetts, the Pre-School Association of the West Side and the Chicago Child Care Task Force are overviewed. Non-sexist child care curriculum development efforts, programs focused on teenage parents , the Day Care and Child Development Council of America, the National Black Child Development Institute, and the Day Care Consultation Service are described. A brief indication is given of prospects for future funding and a list of child care and development grants to institutions during the years 1969 through 1979 is appended. (Author/RH)
