This report is the first of two volumes concerning the 1977 Teacher Corps Corps Member Training Institute (CMTI). Volume I is a description of CMTI as it occurred; Volume II is an analysis of the data. The information is divided into six general catagories: 1) a profile and description of the participants in the summer institute; 2) a discussion of the various modes and organizational concepts of the institute, and the degree of application those concepts enjoyed in relation to schools, communities, and multicultural settings emphasized by the CMTI; 3) the impact of CMTI on the participants' organizational concepts, perspectives on multiculturalism, and general outlook; 4) a chronicle of the interpersonal relationships which evolved during the institute; 5) the participants' assessment of the CMTI experience; ; and 6) the impact of CMTI on participants' local projects.
