Designed for use at the senior high school level, this career decision making mini course is based on Peter Blau's Model of Occuational Choice. The course has been pilot-tested with college bound and non-college bound students. It may be offered as an elective unit for one-half to one full semester in one to three class periods per week or it may be infused in an English, social studies, health, sociology, psychology, or human relations course. This document contains both the leader's guide and the student's guide. The leader's guide contains information on the background and development of the curriculum model, recommendations for use, and warm-up activities. The student's guide contains the curricular materials which are assembled in the form of a career decision making learning packet. The packet is divided into the following three units: Values; Occupational Information; and Decision Point. Fifteen learning capsules comprise the complete packet.
