Handbook of Diffusion Tactics.
Network of Innovative Schools, Inc., Andover, MA.
As the second of three products designed to assess the interim performance of the U.S. Office of Education's National Diffusion Network, this booklet contains over 160 descriptions of tactics, techniques, and ideas related to innovative education. The descriptions are one-sentence portraitures of various terminal and ongoing educational projects. Personnel from the Massachusetts Diffusion Assistance Project have gathered research data from a standard input form that was distributed to facilitator projects throughout the state of Massachusetts. Resultant information was divided into the six categories of--Dissemination/Awareness, Demonstration/Interest, Training/Assessment, Trial, Installation/Adoption, and Institutionalization/Integration. These divisions are repeated in the organization of the report. Minimal but pertinent information, structured around these six concepts, is provided in separate project description sections. The Handbook includes a listing of the 77 facilitator projects currently operative in Massachusetts. Information concerning the report is available from the executive director. (LH)
