Designed to help women who are planning their lives and careers, this twenty-one page booklet presents some of the two-year and four-year educational programs offered by the University of Maine at Orono (UMO). The booklet first discusses the demands the labor market of the future will make on employees and points out the importance of developing several skills and interests to remain employable and promotable. Another early section deals with life style planning. The booklet is then divided into broad academic areas, as follows: arts and sciences, two-year employment oriented programs available at Bangor Community College of UMO, engineering and sciences, education, physical education, life sciences and agriculture, and business administration. Each section covers some of the occupational opportunities available to those with preparation in that particular area. Most of the sections give an address to contact for further information. (LMS)
