Field-Testing Instructional Materials.

This study examines simple techniques for field testing instructional materials, and is intended for the educational practitioner who is not trained in instructional development procedures and does not have the time or money for elaborate evaluation procedures. Described are critera for field testing instructional effectiveness, procedures for specifying task descriptions relating to instructional programs, and testing procedures for the tasks involved. A sample instructional task--laminating a picture--is included, illustrating the steps in defining the task, evaluating for task completion, and testing the affective component of the instructional method.
