The aims of this course of study are to provide a solid conceptual base in mathematics for grades K-12 as well as to assure mastery of computational skills. Features include an emphasis on inquiry and discovery techniques, the presentation of the metric system and the English system separately, and an attempt to meet problem-solving needs in real-life experiences. The major emphasis of each course is pointed out, general objectives are given, and a program outline presented. (MP)
