Comp Curriculum Guide.

This curriculum guide describes and gives procedures for implementing the Comp Curriculum, which is composed of objectives categorized by age (birth to 5) and domains of developmental tasks (communication, self care, motor and problem solving), for handicapped and nonhandicapped children. (The objectives themselves are listed in a separate volume.) The sub-division of domains into specific behavioral objectives is discussed. The section on implementing the curriculum deals with: (1) writing teaching plans and (2) using the curricular format, together with detailed guidelines for (3) strategies for employing the curriculum, (4) evaluation of whether the objectives have been learned, and (5) reinforcement procedures. The relationship between developmental assessment and the curriculum is explained. Appendices provide forms for lesson plans and goals. (Author/BH)
