Household and Structural Pests. MEP 307.
Wood, F. E.
This pamphlet is a non-technical description of common household arthropod pests in Maryland. Since most of the pests can be found in houses throughout North America, this publication has a wide geographic range of use. General discussions of arthropod structure, growth and development, and metamorphosis are given before the pages on specific pests. Pests included are ants, flies, bedbugs, body lice, ticks, carpet beetles, centipedes, millipedes, cockroaches, moths, fleas, crickets, springtails, slugs, termites, spiders, and sowbugs. For each pest, a picture or line drawing and information on life cycle and habitats, control or management practices, and a description are given. No specific pesticide information is presented in this pamphlet. (MR)
