Like the fifth volume of this series, Volume VI provides information about scholarships, loans, fellowships, grants, and awards that are not controlled by school. Material that appeared in Volume V is not duplicated here. For each aid fund listed, information is detailed in these categories: Qualifications; Funds Available; Special Fields of Interest and Information, which elaborates on the purpose of the awards, method of applying and background information that individualizes the specific awards; and Apply for Information or Application to. This format presents sufficient detail about each fund to enable candidates to quickly locate those for which they are eligible. The book has been compiled as a resource aid for students, parents, counselors, teachers, researchers, donors, and fund administrators. (LBH)
