The paper describes the Supermarket Resource program at George F. McMechan School (Baltimore, Maryland), a special school for minimally intellectually limited, severely and profoundly retarded, multihandicapped hearing impaired, and multihandicapped vision impaired children (13 to 21 years old). Reviewed are program development, methods and materials used for instruction, responses of the students, and evaluation after the program's first year.
