A wide range of resource and annotated reference lists present survey and study reports, background material, tools for planning, and a guide to statistical data. The general nature of the planning process, initiation of planning, building and strengthening the organizational structure, and assessing needs are discussed. Developing a plan of action, data collection, and assessing requirements for nursing manpower are covered. Diagrams present five organizational structures for planning.
