Papers presented at the National Conference on Environmental Education, December 1969, and digests of the discussion group reports are included in this conference report. The papers examine the identification of major ecological concepts and values appropriate to school curricula (kindergarten to grade 12), methods by which environmental concepts can be integrated into regular curricular content, formation of environmental values, psychological behavior, and environmental education. Four existing programs are described. The role of the U. S. Office of Education and of ERIC in environmental education is also discussed. (AL)
