A Complete Interactive Graphical Computer-Aided Instruction System.
Abrams, Steven Selby
The use of interactive graphics in computer-aided instruction systems is discussed with emphasis placed on two requirements of such a system. The first is the need to provide the teacher with a useful tool with which to design and modify teaching sessions tailored to the individual needs and capabilities of the students. The second is the requirement to provide for sufficiently flexible interaction with the student during the actual teaching session. These concepts are implemented in a system which maximizes the use of interactive graphics. Facilities available in the system material to the student in a dynamic, graphical fashion which leads to better understanding and a more enjoyable learning experience. The implemented system, although not yet complete, indicates that a complete working system of this type is feasible and would prove itself to be a valuable educational tool. (Author)
