This is the 22nd survey in the US Office of Education's annual series of surveys on earned degrees conferred by US institutions of higher education. This volume, Summary Data, is the first of 2 parts of the survey of bachelor's and higher degrees awarded in 1968-69. Data are presented by level of degree, field of specialization, sex of degree recipient, state, level of institution, and institutional control. Part B, covering Institutional Data, will list degrees conferred in each field by each institution. A third publication will provide information on associate degrees and other awards below the bachelor's level. (JS)
