To determine junior college community service personnels' perception of the Cooperative Extension Service, a random sample of 200 community service directors received a questionnaire concerned with: (1) their status, (2) associations with the Extension Service, (3) importance of the Service to their clientele, and (4) understanding and opinions of the Extension Service. Finding limited and inaccurate knowledge about cooperative extension, especially concerning organization and personnel, the study recommends efforts to educate community service personnel and coordinate activities with them. Further study is deemed necessary to determine Extension personnels' perceptions of community service agencies. (BH)
