Keeping Students in School.
Rhodes, Eric; And Others
Two studies by ESB staff are used to compare actual and potential dropouts; data from these studies are reflected in 43 tables. Some school program recommendations are made as a result of the studies: (1) research for identifying actual and potential dropouts and for developing a dropout profile, (2) pupil remedial education programs, (3) remedial education programs adapted for dropouts, (4) special occupational curriculum orientation programs, (5) centers for learning and living enrichment, (6) inservice teacher education programs, (7) principals' administrative leadership seminars, and (8) employment surveys. The purposes of these programs and the procedures to initiate them in school districts are described. (Author/MLF)
