This audiolingual French course is designed for classes meeting for 100 minutes or more weekly. It provides for a transition from aural-oral skills to those of reading and transcription. A general introduction and an introduction to reading and transcription precede a section on the course of study. Linguistic structures, vocabulary, and pronunciation to be taught are included. Final sections review suggested methodology for the introduction to reading and transcription and a statement of instructional objectives. (RL)
