GRADES OR AGES: Four-, five-, and six-year olds. SUBJECT MATTER: Sensory experiences, including tactile, auditory, and visual. ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is divided into three sections, one for each of the above sensory areas. Each section lists materials and describes activities; illustrations are interspersed. The guide is mimeographed and spiral bound with a soft cover. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: Each section begins with a brief outline of objectives. Following this, the major portion of the section consists of detailed instructions for numerous specific activities, mostly games and songs. At the end of each section, a class inventory lists activities each child should be able to do. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS/ Materials needed for each activity are listed along with the activity description. In addition, there is a short list of commercially available materials at the end of each section. A t the end of the guide there is a bibliography of children's books and a list of references for teachers. STUDENT ASSESSMENT: No provision other than the class inventory is made. OPTIONS: The guide is suggestive only. It makes no mention of timing or means of incorporating the activities described into the total program. (RT)
