The various speech and language problems found at the elementary and secondary school levels are defined in this book which also suggests methods for the analysis, prevention, and correction of such problems within the classroom. Emphasis is placed on the team approach, in which teachers cooperate with reading and speech therapists, parents, and others who could aid in speech correction. Included are selected case examples and, at the end of each of nine chapters, a list of supplementary references, questions for class discussion and testing, and suggested term paper topics intended for the teacher trainee and others in related fields.
