A comprehensive review of the Department of the Army Management Intern Program, August, 1968, presents details about the aims of the program, the recruitment procedure, the characteristics (including qualification) of the participants, and the achievement and rate of promotion of these individuals who are being trained for civilian careers in the army. A comparison is made between the achievement of participants who have had graduate training and those who have not and the facts are supported by statistics. Also statistically presented is the ability of the program to retain those who are trained and the degree to which women are included among those trained.
