Teachers and other school personnel studied research and theoretical literature related to learning and punishment, and explored the implications of the findings for educational practice. The initial series of lectures emphasized the psychology of learning and the role of punishment. Specific applications of this knowledge to educational problems are discussed. The results of classroom demonstrations of punishment techniques for specific infractions of school rules are graphed and discussed.
