Developing a Sense of Sequence--First Grade.
Herr, Blodwen
This ESEA/Title III program was designed to develop a first grader's ability to think of events in correct sequence. Throughout first grade, children are taught sequence by using objects they can see and handle and by using experiences with which they are familiar. Dramatizing nursery rhymes, relating the sequence in which familiar tasks are accomplished, illustrating stories, and recalling the sequence of events in stories read aloud are included as examples of activities used in the program.
