MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSE TO FILM.
CASE, HARRY W.; LEVONIAN, EDWARD
THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY WAS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SYSTEM WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF PHYSIOLOGICAL RESPONSE OF STUDENTS VIEWING FILM MATERIAL UNDER CONVENTIONAL CLASSROOM CONDITIONS. THE GALVANIC SKIN RESPONSE (GSR) WAS MEASURED BY SENSORS AND USED AS AN INDICATOR OF STUDENT INTERACTION WITH THE FILM MATERIAL. IN THE TRIAL STUDY THE DIRECT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GSR AND TRAFFIC ACCIDENT INVOLVEMENT WAS INVESTIGATED. THE ADEQUACY OF THE SYSTEM WAS JUDGED SUFFICIENT BY THE INVESTIGATORS. (PM)
