Formal preparation for occupations in the fields of marketing, merchandising and business management covering activities such as sales, merchandising, financing, pricing, purchasing, distribution. From 2002-2004, the Descriptor "Marketing Education" was carried in the Thesaurus. From 2004-2011, documents dealing with this concept may have been indexed under "Business Education." (Note: Since the mid-1970's, "Marketing Education" has become the preferred term for "Distributive Education")
