Remedial, supplementary, or preventive assistance provided by educational institutions to help their students successfully complete course assignments and instructional program requirements, such as high stakes educational tests. Services may include: individual tutoring; homework help; and small group instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, test-taking strategies, study skills, etc. These services, which generally take place outside of normal class time, may be scheduled at fixed times or offered on a walk-in basis.
