Hunger and Development [Issue Packet].

A variety of informational materials is compiled in this issue packet concentrating on hunger and development. They have been assembled to understand the issues associated with the facts of world hunger and to try to invent new forms of action and thought necessary to find the possibilities hidden in the hunger issue. Items include: (1) a fact and situation sheet, (2) bibliography of books, government publications, and films on hunger in the United States and hunger as a global reality, (3) list of organizations to contact for further information, (4) a reprint of "Out of Sight and Ignored" from the book "Let Them Eat Promises" by Nick Kotz, (5) two essays, "The Dual Challenge of Health and Hunger - A Global Crisis" which examines the roots and dimensions of the food crisis, and"The Green Revolution, Peace and Humanity," which shows the relationship between the green revolution and population growth, (6) a description of the School Lunch and School Breakfast Program with its associated rights, (7) three pamphlets about hunger and development, (8) a newsletter from the Crusade Against Hunger campaign, and (9) a brochure describing Baldicer, a simulation game on feeding the world's people.
