This second edition of the shielded metal arc pipe welding curriculum guide presents both basic and advanced pipe welding skills. All specifications for procedure and welder qualification are presented according to national standards. The standards also include the test position for both groove and fillet pipe welding. The guide contains three units of instruction that cover the following topics: pipe welding orientation, safety, and equipment; print reading and layout for pipe welding; and pipe welding techniques and applications.
