Nonpoint sources of pollution have diffuse origins and are major contributors to water quality problems in both urban and rural areas. Addressed in this instructor's manual are the identification, assessment, and management of nonpoint source pollutants resulting from mining, agriculture, and forestry. The unit, part of the Working for Clean Water Project, is designed for citizen advisory groups interested in water quality planning. Also available is a supplementary audiovisual program. (Author/WB)
