This manual consists of exercises to explore sex-role stereotyping as it affects work roles. They are intended to make young people aware of career opportunities in nontraditional fields. The 10 exercises include the following: values clarification; true-false quiz about sex characteristics and occupational requirements; character traits instruction; house plan exercise; role-playing (truck driver and fire-fighter); chore divisions; "what's my line?"; visualization of job holders; small group exploration; and panel of peers (nontraditional workers explaining their jobs).
