This document represents a continuation of efforts partially reported in UNIVERSITIES AND TEACHER EDUCATION CENTERS IN FLORIDA. The present (1979) report presupposes the reader's familiarity with the contents of that previous document, and attempts to add to the picture of universities and TEC's by updating developments through the 1978-79 service year. Special attention is paid to issues relating to funding and on rewards to faculty for TEC activities. The increased teacher role in the TEC decision-making process, and the results of that increase are also discussed. Data for this report were gathered from TEC and university staff meetings, from interviews of individuals variously involved with TEC throughout the state of Florida, and from questionnaires completed by 17 TEC directors and 64 college of education faculty members during April 1979.
