Improvisational Theater Games: Performatory Team-Building Activities
Ingalls, Joan S.
Journal of Physical Education, Recreation & Dance, v89 n1 p40-45 2018
This article describes five improvisational theater games for building "teams" in the classroom and on the sports field. Particular attention is given to understanding how teams must challenge the hyper-individuality of modern culture. Improvisational theater games for team building are designed to help participants find a balance between their individuality and group membership. This understanding of the games helps teachers and coaches be more effective team-building facilitators and managers of the emotionality often seen in teams.
