Perceptions of 9th Grade Students about the Concept of Axis Tilt

In this work, which is about the perceptions of 9th grade students in the secondary school about the concept of axis tilt, the sample's correct, incorrect and in complete perceptions were revealed. In the random sample, 345 9th grade students were selected from 8 schools throughout Istanbul. More than half of the students in the sample either could not answer or left blank the answer to the question, that is to say, what is the axis tilt? Of those students who answered the question, approximately half were wrong; one third gave insufficient answers, with the correct answer being provided by approximately one fifth of the students. In two fifths of the incorrect answers, misconceptions about the concept were revealed.
