Many prospective graduate students wish they could hear directly from graduate advisors at different universities that offer a master's degree in the field they are seeking. They could speak from experience to help prospective students decide if this is the best time for them to start graduate study. They could help prospective students choose among programs and universities. They could give information about applying to graduate school and advice on how to succeed as a graduate student. For this article, the authors contacted graduate advisors at different universities and asked them a series of questions. Those considering graduate studies should still be encouraged to make direct contact with faculty at any program being considered. The survey research used a self-selected sample. Requests for participation were sent to a list of faculty associated with master's degree programs in Technology Education or closely related fields at U.S. institutions. A total of 21 respondents returned the completed survey. A summary of responses is presented in this article.
