The Development and Validation of an Interactive Hypermedia Program for Teaching a Self-Advocacy Strategy to Students with Disabilities.
Lancaster, Paula E.; Schumaker, Jean B.; Deshler, Donald D.
Learning Disability Quarterly, v25 n4 p277-302 Fall 2002
Secondary students with learning disabilities, behavior disorders, and health impairments (n=16) learned a self-advocacy strategy via an Interactive Hypermedia Program (IHP) or through live instruction. After instruction, each student ran his own Individualized Education Program conference. The IHP was as effective in teaching the students the strategy as live instruction. (Contains references.)
