Physical Education Teachers' Theories of Action and Theories-in-Use.
Tsangaridou, Niki; O'Sullivan, Mary
Journal of Teaching in Physical Education, v22 n2 p132-52 Jan 2003
Investigated physical education teachers' educational theories of action and theories-in-use. Data from classroom observations, interviews, and journals indicated that teachers held strong, well-articulated views about student learning and what constituted a physically educated student. Results did not substantiate the notion of a level of discrepancy between teachers' espoused theories and professional practices as presented in the literature. (SM)
