Several television markets were surveyed and compared with each other and with 1973 data to determine whether natural history programing has declined. Results showed an increase in the percentage of total air time and of prime time broadcasts devoted to natural history programing exclusive of cable and pay television. (CW)

It is widely accepted among professionals that environmental education should be infused throughout the school curriculum at every grade level. Presented are the results of a four-wave panel study to determine the relationship of communication to conservation behaviors. This study found that energy-related content in the mass media bears stronger relationships with the perceived importance of the energy problem than with adoption of energy conservation behavior.
