Lotecka, Llynn – Journal of Drug Education, 1974
The philosophy and characteristics of a project for preventing drug abuse is described. A partial history of its ongoing evaluation is presented. The results show that participating teachers gained significantly in drug knowledge. There were also significant changes in attitudes concerning drug abuse, child development, and pedagogy. (Author)

A 50 hour self-development approach to drug education which included values clarification, empathy training, drug information, with considerable peer interaction was evaluated by means of a true experiment. No differences were found between treatment and no-treatment groups in terms of drug usage, drug knowledge, and self-esteem. (Author)
