The effects of expert speakers in producing change in drug attitudes, opinions and knowledge of high school students were evaluated with a quasi-field experiment. Three different treatment groups (expertise areas) and a control group were employed. The results indicate that such programs have no change effect. (Author)

Hart, Larry – Journal of Drug Education, 1975
High school students (N=81) were surveyed regarding their attitudes on nine factors regarding the alcoholic and his alcoholism, and the drug abuser and his drug abuse. Analysis of the data indicated that on eight of the nine factors the students tended to view the two pathologies in essentially the same way. (Author)

Findings are based on responses to a self-report type questionnaire administered to ninth through twelfth grade students at two high schools in Fremont County, Wyoming. Data indicate there is a significant relationship between drug use and commission of other forms of delinquent behavior for male and female students studied. (Author)

Reports the drug involvement of students in an alternative high school. Students include those transferred for behavior problems or dropouts returning to complete school. Describes the effects of an alcohol education program for 155 ninth-grade students. Results indicated that the experimental group scored significantly more favorably on knowledge, refuting arguments, compliance and riding with drinking drivers.
