Satisfaction and Dissonance Between Professors' and Students' Value Orientations

This research hypothesizes that graduate students' satisfaction is negatively correlated with the dissonance between graduate students' and professors' value orientations. The degree of satisfaction expressed regarding other students, their majors, the faculty and their programs was significantly correlated with the dissonance between their value orientations and those of their professors.
