Engaging Technology in Elementary School: Flipgrid's Potential
Miller, Stacia C.; McIntyre, Christina J.; Lindt, Suzanne F.
Childhood Education, v96 n3 p62-69 2020
As the latest advances in technology make their way into the classroom, teachers are often overwhelmed with decisions about which technologies are the easiest to implement, best for student learning, and most interesting to students. Among the latest technology sensations to emerge are video response tools, which are online social interfaces for the classroom that allow students to engage and collaborate with their teachers and peers. Flipgrid, an online video response platform developed by a professor for his class, has the power to change how students engage in course material. Using Flipgrid technology, students can discuss, reflect upon, and showcase what they are learning, reading, making, and experiencing in the classroom.
