In-state and out-of-state choice pattern differences among students with regard to academic and economic variables and the impact that financial aid would have upon their choice are examined. Gerald M. Gillmore's criticisms of a study on the relative magnitudes of the "course effect" and "teacher effect" on students' ratings of teacher competence are examined.
