Interviewed ethnic minority students in England to determine the impact of social class and ethnicity on higher education choice. Overall, the processes, concerns, resources, and outcomes of choosing differed among ethnic groups in relation to social class. Class differences were more apparent and significant than minority ethnic similarities. For a large minority of students, the ethnic mix in higher education institutions was one factor influencing their choice. (SM)
