Kindergarten students were given an instructional unit dealing with environmental problems. At the end of the unit, the students were evaluated by giving four oral questions and taping the answers. The research suggests that many kindergarten children can form concepts concerning issues and citizenship responsibility. (MA)

This study analyzed the effectiveness of an instructional model in environmental education and ecological foundations. Preservice elementary science methods students were tested for their ability to define environmental education and to acquire ecological concepts. Results indicate a significant gain in these areas by the experimental group. (MR)

Presents a study of the influence of an investigative skills environmental education program upon the problem identification skills of junior high students. Members of the experimental group (N=43) consistently outperformed students in a general science course (N=40) on measures of skills in problem identification. (Author/WB)
