A First Study of Perfectionism and Multidimensional Life Satisfaction among Adolescents.
Gilman, Rich; Ashby, Jeffrey S.
Journal of Early Adolescence, v23 n2 p218-35 May 2003
Investigated how students who were identified as perfectionists within a general sample of 132 middle school students differentially perceived their quality of life. Found that both adaptive and maladaptive perfectionist subtypes reported significantly higher global life satisfaction than did nonperfectionists, whereas adaptive perfectionists reported significantly higher satisfaction ratings on self-satisfaction than both maladaptive perfectionists and nonperfectionists.
